Portland - Saturday 01/29/11

I did not take as many pictures today as I was on my bike a lot. Amy and I rode up Hawthorn St. looking for breakfast. We stopped at the first place we saw that seemed nice, Hawthorn street Cafe. The food was awesome. Amy got a smoked salmon benedict and I was quite jealous. I got a potato and veggie dish. Here's Aim waiting for our food to arrive.
Nice socks turned into arm warmers. Lol.

After food we decided to walk around the neighborhood for a few. I needed to use the bathroom so we swung into the Fred Myer. I'll tell you something. I had a lot of fun yesterday but today I am seeing all the creepy shit that skeeves me out about Portland. Here's a classy example of typical Portland.

It's the old sneak to the bathroom with the stolen saki trick. We've all seen that one before.

After that we hopped back on our bikes and rode around for about an hour. We dropped off Amy's bike and decided to walk across the bridge into the downtown area. Here's Portland from the Burnside Bridge today.

Not too bad if you don't pay attention to all the creepy shit on the other side of the bridge. Also, Seattle is by far much more beautiful.

We walked around, made fun of the dumb asses standing in a long line for Voodoo Doughnuts and then had some vegan Chinese food at Vegetarian House. It was absolutely awesome.

Oh yeah, We saw this guy while walking around.

So freaking cute!

We walked back over the bridge and walked around for about another hour. We just got back tot he room and are trying to figure out what we want to do. I want to hop in the car and head back to Seattle to be honest. I see it this way.....If I tire of Seattle I can always come spend 24 hours down here. Seattle is by far much more superior and the hipsters here make Seattle hipsters look like the wait staff at Rom Mai Thai.
